Who Can Enter?
1- DPEP subscribers from Students, Teachers, and Professionals across the country!
2- Current subscribers to the Digital Photography Education Program.
3- Graduates of the Digital Photography Education Program.

Produce a lesson using any topic from a DPEP course. The submission must include set up and after shots along with a description of how you achieved your final image.

To win the contest, you will need to show technical excellence and artistic creativity.
Be creative, be informative and share your knowledge.

Rules for Submission:

  1. Lesson description may be submitted via a text file.
  2. Each image that corresponds to a step in the lesson must include number corresponding to the step described in the lesson.

How to Enter:
Submissions will be accepted via online or through the mail.

Online submission:
Submit your entire project via the online submission form.
Standard JPEG files
Resolution: Each JPEG file must be approximately 800 x 600 pixels.
File Size: Each JPEG file cannot be larger than 250kb.
Your lesson and images must be submitted at the same time.

Mail Submission:
Submit your entire project via mail on a disc.
Standard JPEG files
Resolution: Each JPEG file must be approximately 1500 x 2100 pixels.
File Size: Each JPEG file cannot be larger than 2MB.
Project description should be submitted as a text file (ending in .txt, no html).
Each image that corresponds to a step in the lesson must include number corresponding to the step described in the lesson.

Authorship and Plagiarism:
All work must be executed by the student. By applying to The DPEP Picture Contest, each student undertakes (a) to present an original work that (i) has been created by her or himself and (ii) does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any other individual or entity and (b) if such student's work incorporates material, including but not limited to photographs, not created by the student, to include an additional copy of any and all such source material in her or his application.

Copyright Release:
From the time of submission, all copyright rights in the entry are property of the Digital Photography Education Program (“DPEP”). Copyright rights for entries selected for awards are the exclusive property of DPEP and shall automatically be granted non-exclusive license to use, publish or otherwise display the work or have others do so on DPEP’s behalf. DPEP does not copyright individual works, only the publications in which they appear. By signing the entry form, the student agrees to the terms of this release.

Note to Teachers and Parents:
A teacher, counselor or principal AND a parent/guardian must review and sign each entry form. Be sure to read all rules and guidelines with your students. We rely on teachers to make sure that entries adhere to our guidelines. The entry form may be reproduced.
