ABOUT DIGITAL IMAGING & EDITING CERTIFICATION PATH
The Digital Imaging & Editing Certification Path program is in response to the reauthorization of the Carl Perkins Act which provides 1.5 billion dollars in grant money for schools to upgrade their classrooms through professional development and equipment purchases. The certification path applies directly to programs in Career and Technical Education, nationwide. The Certification Path program was designed around the Digital Imaging & Editing Certification Exam co-developed with ADDA. This program of study follows digital photography & editing standards used in the today’s workplace. Now that the certification exam is complete, ADDA, the certifying body, will now begin to certify classroom curriculum in the secondary education market. A component of program certification is the designation of equipment that meets industry standard, for use in these programs. The digital photography component of the certification was developed using 100% Photoflex equipment.
